Undercover AW19 Clockwork Orange rose crewneck

- size 4/large - This purple undercover rose jumper is a real special one not just because it’s brand-new with tags I also cannot find another purple crewneck version on the Internet full stop. Created in 2019 by the legendary Jun Takahashi this jumper pays homage to one of my favourite films and books, A Clockwork orange I could write so much about this trilogy of books and films but I’ll try to keep it concise. a clockwork Orange is a 1971 dystopian post modern film by Stanley Kubrick who adapted the 1962 novel by Anthony Burgess for the cinema, Kubrick’s work is mainly the reason why this story is so widely known and loved, the film follows Alex (depicted on this jumper) who is the protagonist, he’s originally portrayed as a very evil character void of all human emotion but as the film progresses they viewer learns to sympathise with alex even though it may seem impossible from the get go. the film also follows his group of his cronies who call themselves 'droogs' it’s a whimsical take on the brutality and unrest that was occurring within the world at the time specifically the uk. the gang roam around London committing horrific crimes that they title “ultraviolence” due to these detailed and somewhat graphic scenes ultimately lead this film to be banned in many countries, this was especially prominent in the UK as some of the scenes where "re-enacted" in real life, consequently it was made illegal. in the film Alex’s streaks of violence, rape, theft and ultimately murder finally catch up to him after being imprisoned he is offered freedom in exchange he is to be subjected to a experimental form of criminal rehabilitation called the Ludovico Technique. It involves forcing the subject, (Alex), to watch violent content while being injected with drugs that induce nausea, creating a visceral aversion to violence which in turn creates the platform for Alex’s demise. Stanley Kubrick is a film hero, and if you haven’t already watched Clockwork orange I highly recommend it and if you already have, watch it again - new condition with tags RRP £395  -
